Backstory
Justin is a born performer and entertainer and the Justin Bieber video shows that. He does not only have genuine talent, his self confidence will carry him anywhere. From the time he was a toddler he was already singing and started playing musical instruments without taking lessons. He started playing the guitar, and the drums, just by observing his friends and neighbours doing so.
At the age of seven he joined a competition where he played drums for a group of grown-up friends, learning at least 4 jazz pieces. At age 12 he joined the Stratford Idol, a singing competition where he performed several types of music, from rap to hiphop. He placed second but he was well on his way when his mom uploaded the Justin Bieber video on you tube that would make history.
Justin and his mom Pattie had uploaded several videos and the more Scooter Braun saw, the more impressed he was. But it was Justin’s cover of Ne-yo that really did it. Scooter tracked Justin down until he finally got a call back from Pattie who was really calling to tell him to lay-off.
And the rest is history. Scooter introduced Justin to Usher who was sold into managing Justin’s career together with Scooter. But Scooter had to take Justin on a road trip where they went to every radio station in so many states so Justin could perform for the DJ’s the way he performed in his Justin Bieber video.
Fame Arrives
And once again social networking worked for Justin. He started using Twitter where he would tell people where he was going and the fans started to multiply outside the radio stations. By this time his fan base had increased ten-fold and his managers knew he was ready to perform in Madison Square Garden. And he brought the house down.
Justin is who he is not only because he is talented but because he comes from a great support system, his family. His mom Pattie was a teenager when she had Justin, and she and Justin’s father split-up when Justin was only ten months old. But she was a great mom who despite her youth stayed home and gave Justin the love and care he needed. She recognized his talent and supported him all way, even taking videos and uploading them on you tube as Justin Bieber video.
Pattie has great parents who are great grandparents to Justin. His father, although estranged from his mom, is also very close to Justin. This is where Justin gets his self-confidence. This is why offstage Justin is just a regular kid but when he goes onstage he is transformed and performs from the heart, just as he does in every Justin Bieber video.
